Karyn Karlson

Karyn Karlson is the Founder and former owner of a beloved yoga studio in Denver that closed during the pandemic. She began her yoga practice in 1988 and became certified to teach in 1997 through the Shambhava Yoga School. She has taught continually since then and studied with a variety of master instructors, including Erich Schiffmann and Barbara Benagh. Karyn is a continuing student of yoga and meditation, working daily to deepen her own practice. She currently studies with Tibetan Buddhist Lama Lhoppon Rechung Rinpoche.
Karyn is a grandma who volunteers to teach yoga in the Denver Women’s prison, helps at local food banks and loves to race cars.

(In-person and via Zoom) In the first 15 minutes of class, Karyn offers a variety of techniques and tools to enhance your ongoing meditation practice as well as guidance for beginners. In the last half of class, we sit in silent meditation. This class combined with the yoga class preceding it have become a staple in people's lives over the last twenty years.
